It lies just north of Captiva Island, separated by a channel called Redfish Pass, which was created in a 1921 hurricane. It lies just south of Cayo Costa Island, separated by Captiva Pass.
The island is only accessible by ferry, water taxi, or private boat. Seabatical has great views waiting for you to enjoy, sitting on the screened porch overlooking Safety Harbor, having coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the evening. A short walk or golf cart ride (included) to the private beach or restaurants. Rental includes access to Safety Harbor amenities (boat dock, pool, beach access). Guests can rent bikes and kayaks (not included).
The townhouse is steps away from the Island Girl ferry drop-off or the docks for your own boat. There are no cars, only golf carts and bikes. North Captiva does not have high-rise hotels, shopping malls, nightclubs, or five-star restaurants. It does, however, offer peace and quiet, serenity, and beautiful, scarcely populated beaches.
